Yes, you noticed right, Amitabh Bachchan returns as a lawyer in the movie Badla. Badla released a month ago and Amitabh Bachchan stunned out his fans with super mysterious performance in the movie.
The co-actors in Badla movie are Taapsee Pannu, Amrita Singh, Tony Luke, Manav Kaul, and Antonio Akeel. Taapsee Pannu is also starring in the upcoming sports Saand Ki Aankh.
The movie starts with Naina Sethi (Tapsee Pannu) who is a successful woman in the business and runs her family with his husband. One evening Naina Sethi was arrested for the murder of his secret boyfriend Arjun.
Her lawyer Jimmy hires one of the most successful and powerful lawyers, named Badal(Amitabh Bachchan). Advocate Badal visits Naina’s house to know the whole story of the murder of Arjun as Naina was on bail at that time. Badal(Amitabh Bachchan) tells her that in the next 3 hours one of the testimonies of the case of the prosecution would go in the police station and tell about all the truths about against Naina. Naina could end up in jail.
So, he requests Naina to tell about all the truths on the day of Arjun’s murder. Naina starts with that she and Arjun were blackmailed by one person for telling about their extramarital affair. They were called to the unknown hotel. They were asked to bring money to which they both agreed and had to wait for some time in the room.
When they reached, Naina receives a text from the Arjun’s phone, that the blackmailer is going to reveal the truth about their affair. She is attacked by someone and became unconscious and sees that the Arjun is dead with all the scattered money on the floor everywhere and Police knocking the door. When police enter their room and see Arjun is dead they arrest Naina for the murder but given bail. The police find no trace of anyone coming into the room or going out of the room.
Badal becomes suspicious that Naina is not honest with him. He shows a newspaper clipping where it had shown that there was the disappearance of a young boy from the area and questions whether Naina has a relation with that or not. Naina tells that they i.e. Arjun and Naina had a secret getaway in the area. When they were going to their homes. Naina in the car expresses that she cannot continue this affair with the feeling of guilt. This results in the argument and that Naina loses her control from the car and runs on the oncoming car.
They were fine after the crash but the driver of another car gets died with the crash, named Sunny Singh. Arjun tells Naina not to inform the police with a fear of caught and end up in jail. The driver of another car reaches on the spot. Arjun convinces him that it is all fine and they had a minor crash. Once the driver of the car leaves, they started to remove the traces on the crime scene since there was a witness on the crime scene. Naina dumps Sunny’s car in the swamp with his corpse in the trunk.
Rani and Nirmal, a local couple, help the Arjun’s car to get started. They invite Arjun to their house, where Arjun discovers that Sunny is the son of Rani and Nirmala. Rani serves the coffee and tries to know where the Sunny is. She calls him but the phone of the Sunny rang in the pocket of Arjun as he forgot to dispose of the phone of Sunny.
He passes it off and he pretends that he is sitting on the phone. Sunny’s parents become more worried about Sunny. Meanwhile, Arjun decides to leave their house as soon as possible. They were pretty sure that Sunny wouldn’t leave the house without taking out the phone.
Arjun and Naina reunite, but after learning the news of Sunny’s missing on the TV, Newspapers and on every media. Their lives became ruined. Rani identifies the Naina’s vehicle making her suspect in the Sunny’s disappearance. So, Rani approaches for Naina, But Naina’s lawyer makes a fake statement that she was else somewhere when this crime took place.
Arjun uses her wife’s bank connections to look like that Sunny steal the money the from parent’s bank accounts and to run away. The police came interested in this story. But Rani was sure that Sunny is not a thief. She confronts at Naina at her Business event. Rani makes a request to Naina to help the whereabouts of Sunny. But Naina makes a falsified alibi.
Rani warns to Naina that she will prove her guilty when she was going out of the event forcefully by security guards. After some time, blackmailer contacted Naina and Arjun. Blackmailer asks Arjun to throw away his phone prior to going to the hotel. Blackmailer uses that phone to frame Naina.
Badal decides Rani could have a motive of killing Arjun as Nirmal was working in the hotel also. He tells Naina that it might be quiet possible that Rani might be hidden in the room and received the key for the window allowing a quick escape. His plan was to free from charges by pinning crime to Rani. However, Naina gains interest and reveals the secret that Sunny was alive before dumping the car into the swamp, but she let him drown in the same.
Badal (Amitabh Bachchan) became surprised by Naina’s selfish actions and murders. He proposed the last question of How Arjun died. Naina tells that she was the only one who killed Arjun because in the sequence of events Arjun grew with the guilt. He tells Naina that he will be revealing the truth to Rani and Nirmal. She became feared of caught and end up in jail, Naina killed Arjun.
She scattered the whole money on the floor so that it should be looked like that it is a scene of the murder. By hearing all of this Badal reveals that there is no secret witness it was just a trap so that Naina could narrate the whole story. So, Badal takes a break from the meeting. He tells Naina that he has to prepare a file for the case.
Badal goes out of Naina’s house. Naina receives a call from Jimmy about the case. She tells that she is feeling much relieved. When the real Badal arrives at Naina’s door, she realizes she had been talking to Nirmal who concealed himself as Badal. She takes apart the Badal’s pen in which there was the whole recording of the meeting between the two. In the end, Rani calls the police to arrest her.
